1970 Japan World Exposition Commemorative Event The Miss International Beauty Pageant was the main event of the Osaka Expo. The pre-contest parade of delegates in Ginza was met with a favorable reception and there was an atmosphere of great excitement at the venue, with Miss Japan becoming the first Japanese contestant to be placed (4th) leading to the Beauty Pageant being staged in Japan from then on. |
