

Miss International 2007 winner, Priscila Perales (Mexico) was invited to deliver a lecture about "Society and Culture of Mexico" at Akita International University by Prof.Takashi Tajima(Special advisor of ICA) on March 4th,2008.
She lectured about history and culture of Mexico, and the influence received from the United States from her own experience.
Akita International University focuses on to cultivate resources with global knowledge, rich education, and communication skill in foreign language including English.
“Learning English will expand your opportunities. I wish you could be activate your future by using your English skill.”, said Ms. Perales at a press conference held in prior to the lecture.
Exchange of communication including some personal questions about her has been successful in the lecture as well.
“Being Miss International has been giving me lots of experience through traveling around the world as a goodwill ambassador, and helping me to identify and recognize my own country.”
She answered to the question from a student about changes in being Miss International. She also walked in front of students in respond to a request from female students, how beautiful she walks, and answered as “Balanced diet and good sleep” as a key to stay beautiful.
“It is my first time in my whole life to see the snow!”
Miss International enjoyed the snowscape of Akita.
She was also excited at the touring Aoyagi Samurai Manor in Kakunodate, Senboku city, and seems to be interested to exhibition of Japanese armors.
“I enjoyed beautiful snowscape and natures in Kakunodate.”
“Akita has beautiful nature and cityscape”, said Ms.Priscila as her impression of Akita.
Not only the nature, but she enjoyed food in this area, Chirashi Sushi, traditional food served at Doll festival, and Kiritanpo, Akita’s local dish during the stay.



The visit of Miss international and cultural exchange has broadcasted on the “Real Time”, Akita’s local TV show and hit the best audience share of the day.
