On April 2, the three Miss International Japan representatives (Hongo Rira, Osugi Remi, and Shichino Risa) helped at the “Support Our Kids” charity auction, a reconstruction support project for the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, held in Tokyo. The annual event, which marked its 5th edition this year, is aiming at supporting the children from areas affected by the earthquake by auctioning goods provided by famous people from domains like sport, entertainment, and many others, and using the profits for projects such as international homestay for the children. The gorgeous goods placed for auction (among which we can mention baseball player Tanaka Masahiro’s and baseball manager Tatsunori Hara’s signed uniforms as well as a guitar bearing Eric Clapton’s autograph) and the many VIPs present in the auction hall (e.g. the Japanese Prime Minister’s wife, Abe Akie, ambassadors from around the world, and Akira Fuse as guest performer) made the auction a success with huge profits.
The three Miss International Japan representatives were also honored to be able to help the cause.
